it's a fact: i have too many shoes. these ones displayed here by no means include the piles of shoes i have in the downstairs hall closet. sometimes the best gifts are the practical, organizational ones that help put your life in order. i spent almost two hours cleaning my room and putting my gifts away in an organized fashion while dancing to the submarines that were playing on my new ipod dock. it's clean and beautiful in here now and i have so much floor space i don't even know what to do with myself. maybe get a new area rug? i have books piled on my end table/cd stand that tell me how to be a hipster and what a naked lunch really is. jack kerouac is gonna be pissed if i abandon him now and he just got to denver.

sometimes-and i have always maintained this-when your room and your physical life are in order then the rest will follow suit.
