here is what i know so far:
my ottoman empire history class seems interesting, albeit the thickest novel assigned to read is the first one we have to accomplish in two weeks; this may cause a pickle of a situation. BUT. i am not working so this should be do-able--in theory.
my women in ancient greece and rome course is the bird course of the semester, thanks to a persistent, oft annoying, classical studies major of an older sister. give me whatever you got, sappho!
i am slightly smitten with my literary theory professor. though he may have the sound and slight physical features of dane cook, dane cook he is not. he did something illegal on the first day of class; he forever owns my heart. he is stark 2.0!
the social modern history of canada course i am taking is a practical approach to studying history; something of which i find myself greatly appreciating as i near the end of my third year and will go into my fourth year history seminar. my professor is approachable yet academic, which in itself suggests an oxymoron and a conundrum because most academics are unapproachable, especially if they ramble on for twenty minutes about sourcing and proper footnoting. the perk? the arts guy i have been loving since first semester is in the course. he looks like andrew but done properly. what the fuck? love, me.
now i am sitting here, not for much longer, until my last class of the day: love and desire in early modern literature. will someone else other than marlowe appear on the syllabus? for the love of god i hope so.
sometimes i am happy that i am not working when i see the abundance of work i have to do for the next three months. oy.
ADDENDUM:
- my love and desire prof cannot be older than twenty-five to thirty with his dreaded hair in a neat updo and he wears a hunter green sweater that he saunters around the class in saying "with which" quite a bit. am i smitten? did he say fuck almost a dozen times in class? (the answer is yes. who cares if he is gay, possibly!)
- and i have an interview for a job at school. well i get an interview package soon and then will schedule an interview for a job at school. YAY.
