oh sweetheart, goodnight

there's something about lanky, youthful british boys writing love songs that gets me everytime. one of my favourite cds is 'colour it in' by the maccabees. they have yet, as far as i know, to come over to our side of the atlantic to cities that aren't l.a. or new york. they are amazing, gawky and beautiful. 'toothpaste kisses' is probably one of my top twenty-five songs of all time because it is seemingly timeless and lovely. i always imagine that song playing when my great love story comes to fruition. their sophomore effort hasn't been released yet but will be in may and i am over the moon about it. i am always searching for new music to quench my musical thirst but there's something about getting to hear your favourites come out with something new that is ten times exhilarating; such as the case with yeah yeah yeahs or later this year, hopefully, arctic monkeys and kate nash. but i think the new maccabees song 'kisses and liaisons' is in my favourite out of the four released.

god i need to write for a music magazine.

bands like this make me miss england. but now it's tainted and i am trying so hard to move up and onwards to better things in life. i want to have this massive life overhaul. maybe i am just procrastinating because essay writing blows and the research for it blows even harder.
